Terms of Service
Version 2026-08-06
1. Who we are
KaziJura is operated by KaziJura Technologies (Pvt) Ltd, a company registered in Zimbabwe. We run a marketplace that connects customers who need work done with tradespeople who do it. You can reach us at admin@kazijura.com. By creating an account you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use KaziJura. You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code, so keep your phone and number secure — anyone who can receive your codes can access your account. You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your details accurate and truthful. Tradespeople may be asked to verify their identity and qualifications before their profile becomes publicly visible, and may be assessed on competency for the trades they list. One person, one account; accounts may not be shared, sold, or transferred.
3. What KaziJura does and does not do
We provide the platform: listings, matching, messaging, verification signals, trust scores, and a dispute process. We are not a party to the agreement between a customer and a tradesperson, and we are not the provider of the trade work. Tradespeople are independent — they are not our employees, agents, or subcontractors, and they control how they carry out their work. Verification badges, trust scores, and assessment outcomes are signals based on the information available to us. They are not a guarantee of quality, safety, or outcome, and you should still exercise your own judgement.
4. Payments during the pilot
During the pilot, payment is handled offline, in cash, directly between the customer and the tradesperson. KaziJura does not process, hold, transfer, or escrow any money, and charges no fee for jobs arranged in this period. Agree the price before work starts. Both parties confirm completion in the app, which is what drives ratings and trust — it is a record, not a payment. If in-app payments are introduced later, we will update these Terms and ask you to accept the new version before you use them.
5. Conduct
Use KaziJura honestly and lawfully. Do not misrepresent your identity, skills, qualifications, or verification status; do not upload documents that are not yours; do not post false, misleading, or retaliatory reviews; do not arrange reciprocal reviews or endorsements to inflate standing; do not harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone; and do not use the platform for unlawful or unsafe work. Content you post (photos, profile text, reviews) must be yours to post, and you grant us permission to display it on the platform for the purpose of operating the service. We may remove content, suspend an account, or limit access where these Terms are broken.
6. Reviews, ratings & trust
After a job, each party may review the other. Reviews should be a genuine account of your own experience. Ratings and other signals feed a trust score that affects how prominently a tradesperson appears. We may adjust, withhold, or remove signals we reasonably believe are manipulated, collusive, or fraudulent, and may restrict a tradesperson’s access to new work for a limited, stated period following an upheld dispute or a sustained pattern of poor outcomes. Such restrictions are time-bound and reversible, and are never a financial penalty.
7. Disputes about a job
If something goes wrong, raise it with the other party first. If that does not resolve it, either party may open a dispute in the app with a summary and supporting evidence. A KaziJura administrator will review what both sides submit and record an outcome. Because the pilot is cash-only and we hold no funds, our decision affects standing and trust signals on the platform — it does not move money, and it is not arbitration or a legal judgment. Nothing here prevents you from pursuing your own legal remedies.
8. Liability & warranties
The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor do we warrant the quality, safety, legality, or timeliness of any work arranged through it. To the fullest extent permitted by Zimbabwean law, KaziJura is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data, and our total liability to you for any claim connected to the platform is limited to any fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose — which, during the cash-only pilot, is zero. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. You are responsible for your own dealings with the other party, and you agree to cover losses we suffer as a result of your misuse of the platform or your breach of these Terms.
9. Changes, suspension & closing your account
We may change these Terms as the platform develops. When a change is material we will publish the new version here with a new version number and ask you to accept it the next time you sign in; continuing to use KaziJura after that means you accept it. You may stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time by writing to admin@kazijura.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, poses a risk to other users, or is required to be closed by law — we will tell you why, unless we are legally prevented from doing so. Records we must keep for legal, safety, or dispute reasons may survive account closure, as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and the courts of Zimbabwe have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
